BAD EPITAPH THEATER COMPANY PRESENTS
"THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION" BY KIRK WOOD BROMLEY
JUNE 18 - JULY 4, 2004

Bad Epitaph Theater Company presents THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION by Kirk Wood
Bromley and directed by David Hansen, opening Friday, June 18, 2004 at 7 PM=
,
on the Kulas Community Stage at Wade Oval in University Circle. This
production is free and open to the public.

Imagine if Shakespeare wrote a play about our shared American history. All
the familiar names are here: Lafayette, Hamilton, Cornwallis, Burr, Benedic=
t
Arnold, George III, Jefferson, Franklin,
Adams and, of course, George Washington. The action springs to life with
passion and humor, and blows the dust off these historical icons. Come an=
d
share Washington's travails against Redcoats, Tories, Hessians, mercenaries=
,
mutinying generals, a bankrupt Congress, spies and his own incompetent and
restless soldiers along the way to the birth of the American spirit.

THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION by Kirk Wood Bromley, winner of the Excellence in
Playwriting Award at the 2002 New York City International Fringe Festival,
continues Bad Epitaph=B9s five year commitment to plays with heightened
language, original, live music, and presenting tales of the past to
illuminate important issues of the present day.

Performances for THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION are Fridays and Saturdays at 7 PM
and Sundays at 3 PM, presented on the beautiful, newly renovated Wade Oval
in University Circle, in view of many of Cleveland=B9s great cultural
institutions. This is THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION=B9s first production outside of
New York City, and Bad Epitaph=B9s first outdoor production. THE AMERICAN
REVOLUTION is presented with the generous assistance of the Cleveland
Theater Collective.

The acting company includes Mark Cipra, Aaron Coleman, Magdalyn Donnelly,
Kelly Elliott, Nathan Gurr, Cat Kenney, Doug Kusak, Susan Lucier, Ray
McNiece, Andrew Narten, Brian Pedaci, Sandra Cox True, Matt Zitelli and
William Marshall as George Washington.
