Open Call for Orators - Volunteer talent sought to benefit breast cancer
awareness
Windsong, Cleveland's Feminist Chorus seeks actors to audition for spoken
narratives in "Where I Live: A Breast Cancer Oratorio."
Composer Diane Benjamin describes the oratorio as a "sacred expression of
people's real experiences dealing with breast cancer." Commissioned for the
Denver Women's Chorus in 1999 , "Where I Live" will make its Northeast Ohio
premiere on May 22 at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Proceeds will
benefit the Northern Ohio Breast Cancer Coalition Fund.
"We hope to attract narrators who are willing to offer their talent to help
give a human voice to a dire health issue," said Argerie Vasilakes, Windsong
president. In return, the performance promises to be a moving artistic
experience.
Open auditions will be held Monday, March 29 at 8:00 at Loganberry Books,
13015 Larchmere Blvd., Shaker Heights, Ohio. For additional information

Windsong receives funding from the Ohio Arts Council.
