What’s it like being a museum curator when your major artifact is the museum 
itself? The 618-foot Steamship William G. Mather has 55 years under its belt 
as a Great Lakes freighter and 13 years as a floating maritime museum at 
Cleveland’s North Coast Harbor. Mather curator Lou Cinda Holt talks about 
the challenges of the project and goals for the future using colorful 
photos. As part of the Museum’s free, off-season “Land Lubber” series, the 
talk comes to Cleveland Metroparks’ beautiful Canal Way Center, 4524 E. 49th 
St. in Cuyahoga Heights, on Wednesday, March 24 at 7 PM.
