Re: Perfect Wedding Will Soon Walk Down the Aisle

HUDSON, OHIO - Is there such thing as a perfect wedding? The Hudson
Players, Hudson's award-winning community theatre is working on the
answer. Opening April 30, Hudson Players will present "Perfect
Wedding," a comedy-farce by Robin Hawdon. The fast-action production
will run Fridays and Saturdays through May 15.

The ensemble cast is in rehearsal nightly at Hudson's Barlow Community
Center. Veteran performer, Jim Wolf, plays the role of a groom who
wakes up after his bachelor party with a hangover and a woman he's never
seen before - played by Pam LaForce (his real-life wife, and an
experienced actress), in his bed. His immediate panic is justified, as
he knows that his bride-to-be and his best man, played by Denise
Bernstein and Mark DePompeii (who recently received rave reviews as
Tevye in Hudson Player's "Fiddler on the Roof") soon will arrive. Linda
Peel will add fire and comedy, along with Kathy Turk, playing the mother
of the bride.

Wayne Merholz from Solon is directing this fast-moving production.
Merholz directed Hudson Player's production of "Man of La Mancha" last
season. He has directed at various theaters throughout Ohio and looks
forward to introducing "Perfect Wedding" to the area.

Author Robin Hawdon has had an extremely varied career. He has written
several novels and has appeared on British television in such
productions as "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" and "Zeta One." Hawdon
has written over a dozen plays including, "Birthday Suite" and the
highly lauded, "Don't Dress for Dinner."

"Perfect Wedding" opens 8:00 pm Friday, April 30 and runs May 1, 7, 8,
14 and 15. All performances are at the Barlow Community Center.
Tickets are $10 and are available by calling the Hudson Players
telephone box office 330 655-8522. The Learned Owl Book Shop in Hudson
will have tickets available April 15.

Hudson's Barlow Community Center is off route 303, two blocks east of
route 91, on South Oviatt Street (across from the Hudson Fire Department
and Safety Center). For information, contact the Hudson Players:
players at ayalogic.com.
