Something from the Heart, Something from the Soul

Something from the Heart, Something from the Soul, a performance art =
journey through recovery, is being presented by the women of =
Transitional Housing, Inc. (THI) for one performance only on Friday =
April 30, 2004 at Trinity Cathedral, 2230 Euclid Avenue.  Doors open at =
6:30 pm; performance begins at 7:00 pm.  Trinity Cathedral is located at =
the corner of East 22nd & Euclid.  Entrance and free parking is off =
Prospect Avenue behind Trinity.

Drawing on their deepest personal experiences, the women of Transitional =
Housing, Inc. have created this powerful expression of their journeys =
through recovery to empowerment through drama, music, dance, song, =
poetry and art.  The THI Women's Art Exhibit and Sale will also showcase =
the creativity of women at THI. =20

The suggested donation is $25; $10 students.  Proceeds support the THI =
women's graphic and performing arts programs.  To reserve tickets call =

Transitional Housing, Inc. has been providing a safe environment with =
programs and services to direct homeless women toward self-sufficiency =
and independence since 1986.=20

=20

Transitional Housing, Inc. was founded in response to a serious shortage =
of safe, decent and affordable housing.  Each year THI serves between =
100-125 women who become homeless for a variety of reasons such as =
economic crises, domestic violence, and substance abuse.  Women reside =
in one of 64 rooms for up to two years.  THI provides the education, =
services and support essential to achieving personal and financial =
independence.  All residents participate in a personal development =
program that includes both on-site classes and connects them with =
community services, employment training, and educational opportunities.  =
After a woman transitions into her own housing THI continues to provide =
follow-up services.  Since 1986 nearly 1,200 women have transformed =
their lives through THI. =20

Housing, Inc. was founded in response to a serious shortage of safe, =

serves between 100-125 women who become homeless for a variety of =

as economic crises, domestic violence, and substance abuse.<SPAN=20

education, services and support essential to achieving personal and =

participate in a personal development program that includes both on-site =

transitions into her own housing THI continues to provide follow-up=20
services.  Since 1986 =
