The Easter Rising Through Song and Story will be presented on Saturday morning, April 24, 2004 at the Flat Iron Cafe at 11:00a.m.   The narrated musical review recalls the Irish rebellion, which took place in 1916, with most of the fighting centered in Dublin.

The show will be performed by local artists including: John Cundiff (formerly of Tap the Bow), guitar and vocals; Tish Jones (formerly Tap the Bow), vocals, Mary Agenes Kennedy, vocals; County Kerry native Sean Neligan, poems and recitations; Kathy Siath, vocals; and Jack Kilroy, director and narrator.

The script was adapted by Sean Neligan.  This year's show, performed on the 88th anniversary of the Easter Rising, markes the 10th consecutive year of the local production.  The Saturday, April 24 brunch will be the only performance.

Tickets are $15.00 and includes an Irish-style brunch.  Easter Rising Through Song and Story is produced by the Irish Northern Aid Committee, a nonprofit charity providing humanitarian relief in the north of Ireland. Proceeds will benefit programs in Ireland to assist released Irish political prisoners and to restore Irish patriot graves.
