Both do a fine job, but the rest of the 19-member cast is good enough that=20

The Play=20
The Merry Wives of Windsor is one of the best loved of Shakespeare's=20
comedies. Its central character is Sir John Falstaff, the =E2=80=9Cfat knigh=
t.=E2=80=9D The play=20
involves humbling Falstaff for flirting with two married women. One traditio=
n has=20
Shakespeare writing the play at the request of Queen Elizabeth I, who wanted=
=20
to see Falstaff in love. Falstaff sends identical love letters to Mistress F=
ord=20
and Mistress Page. They share the letters with each other and plot against=20
him. Falstaff undergoes a series of comic defeats and the propriety of the=20=
=E2=80=9C
merry wives=E2=80=9D is proved. While Falstaff is learning his lesson, Anne=20=
Page is being=20
pursued by three suitors (Doctor Caius, Slender, and Fenton) who all try to=20
win the approval of Anne and her parents with the help of Mistress Quickly.
