Karamu Performing Arts Theatre presents the 12th Annual R. Joyce Whitley =
Festival of New Plays ARENEAFEST in Karamu's Arena Theatre. From =
Charles Drew to Sonny, a troubled Harlem youth to Dolla-4-Change, a =
homeless hip hopper, the plays chosen for ArenaFest focuses on themes of =
the African American experience. The fest of true eclecticism. The two =
week festival of new plays stage readings will run April 19 - April 30, =
2004, Mondays-Fridays at 8:00 pm. Admission is $5.00 per night. There =
will be special stage readings for high school playwrights on Saturday, =
April 24, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Admission for the high school playwrights' =
stage readings is free.
