Lute Duet Recitals in Cleveland
April 26 - April 30, 2004
Ronn McFarlane and Kenneth B=E9

A lute duet concert is an unusual event - even one lute is rare enough!=20
The subtlety and range of delicate nuances from the vaulted back and lightly
strung lute is an unforgettable sound to hear in a live performance. =20
The delicate weaving together of the musical sound of two lutes playing as a
duo takes full advantage of the exquisite beauty and timbres of the
instruments.

This recital features lute duets and solos from England, Italy, France and
Germany spanning the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.=20
Also featured in our concert is John Dowland's "Invention for Two to play
upon One Lute." This is the only piece written for four hands on one lute,
and it has to be seen to be believed!

- Ronn McFarlane and Kenneth B=E9, lutes
