[NEohioPAL]A Nation Acts: 'Brown Vs. Board' Free Play Reading At Dobama

A wonderful cast of local actors will perform a special reading of the play 
"Now Let Me Fly" by Marcia Sebulska on Monday, May 17th, at 7 PM at Dobama 
Theater.  It is free and open to the public (donations welcome).
      The reading is part of a nationwide celebration taking place that day 
called "A Nation Acts: A Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Landmark 
Supreme Court Decision Brown V. Board of Education Overturning 'Separate But 
Equal'".  The play, which uses actual interviews and testimony from the real 
people involved in the events, includes characters such as NAACP lawyer Thurgood 
Marshall, who would later become Supreme Court Justice.
      The cast includes (alphabetically) Allison Bencar, Iris Berry, Liz 
Carman, Pat Davis, Cavana Faithwalker, Michael Fluellen, Lissy Gulick, Kelly 
Harris, Kelly Holt, Meredith King, Marvin L. Mallory, Seabright McCabe, Norma 
Powell, and Michael Regnier.
      The reading is sponsored by three non-profit organizations: Heights 
Arts, Kulture Kids and Reaching Heights.  Director is Robin Pease, Artistic 
Director of Kulture Kids.
      Seating begins at 6:30 PM for the 7PM reading at Dobama Theater on 1846 
Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights, and the recommendation is arrive early 
for this special event.
