Stage Partners of Wayne County is an Ohio not-for-profit corporation formed
by the Wayne Center for the Arts, the Wooster City Schools, the city of
Wooster Parks and Recreation Department and the Wayne County Performing Arts
Council.  We were formed in 1994 for the purpose of producing and promoting
community theater, with an emphasis on involving children and students in
all aspects of production.  Thus far, we have produced an annual summer
musical at the 1,000-seat Wooster High School Performing Arts Center, which
was constructed in 1993.  Past shows have included 1776, The King and I,
Annie, The Music Man, Oliver and The Sound of Music.

We are seeking an experienced and qualified person to perform the duties of
GENERAL MANAGER.  This is a part-time position.  Range of compensation is
$3,000.00 to $3,500.00 (negotiable).  Term of contract: annual, September 1
to August 31.

Qualifications: Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal
skills, written and oral; Experience in successful fundraising, grant
writing and public relations; Experience as a manager, facilitator or
coordinator; Some experience in theater production.

General Responsibilities: The GM is in charge of the daily affairs and
business of Stage Partners, subject to the direction of the board and
consistent with the mission of the organization.

Specific Responsibilities:  1) Administrative: Attend board meetings as a
non-voting member; have authority to sign documents on behalf of board as
required by law or necessary for the proper functioning of the organization;
have authority to make contracts and handle financial transactions on behalf
of, and within guidelines established by, the board; have responsibility for
the management of personnel associated with the organization.  2)
Production: Makes recommendations to the board for the employment of an
artistic director and such other employees or contractors as the board may
direct; assist the artistic director with the establishment of a production
budget and schedule; act as liaison between the cast, production staff and
board; organize a registry of community volunteers to assist with all
aspects of production; develop and implement a marketing plan utilizing all
local media.  3) Financial: Assist the board in developing and administering
an annual budget; develop and implement a revenue plan; 4) Education:
Promote an educational component as determined by the board.
