Chagrin Valley Little Theatre

CHAIRS NAMED FOR CVLT'S 75TH

May 14, 2004 :  Area entertainment personality Jan Jones has been named =
Honorary Chair and Chagrin Falls residents Jo Ann and Tom Neff will =
serve as Co-Chairs of the Chagrin Valley Little Theatre's 75th =
Anniversary Season.  The initial introduction of the coming season will =
be at the Blossom Parade on May 30 with the formal season running from =
September of this year to August 2005.

Numerous shows and activities will feature the 75th to include the =
reopening of the River Street "black box" theatre later in the year and =
an introduction of a new young adult group performing Shakespeare's =
"Midsummer's Night Dream" on Main Stage in October.  Six other =
outstanding shows will be featured in the Main Theatre and the highly =
successful youth theatrical group will have a prominent role during the =
75th.

When asked about their goals for the 75th, the Chairs indicated they are =
threefold:

to celebrate the anniversary in the community, to fill the seats, and to =
raise the necessary funds to insure the lead-in to the next 75 years.  =
CVLT is the oldest community theatre in Northeast Ohio, having staged =
quality plays and musicals for 75 consecutive years.

Additionally, there will be more interaction with the Valley Arts Center =
and the Chagrin

Falls Historical Society, also vital parts of local heritage.

Added highlights of the new season include a celebrity guest appearance, =
a community gala celebration and the publication of a 75th year history. =
 The highly lauded first annual Variety Show will be repeated in =
February as will the September in-town and onstage performances of =
Murder by the Falls.  The latter program will remember Sandy Kasper, =
long-time president of CVLT who died this past March.

CVLT has operated with a strong group of volunteer actors and support =
personnel who form a cadre of people from throughout the Chagrin Valley =
dedicated to providing quality and affordable live theatre to area =
residents.  Only modest stipends are paid to directors and other related =
personnel.

The Theatre concludes its 74th Season with a bang: Neil Simon's =
"Barefoot in the Park" from June 4-26 and the ever-popular "West Side =
Story" July 23-August 21.
