Digital Video Production Workshop

presented by First Cut Studios Inc. at Benedictine High School.

Over six classes, students will be introduced to the many parts of
moviemaking including cinematography, lighting, sound, frame composition,
editing, and the unique qualities of digital vs. film.=A0 Demonstrations,
illustrative movie clips, and hands-on exercises will give students hands-o=
n
experience with production and the basic tools to make their own movies.

SCHEDULE
     July 5 - 17
     Mon, Wes, Fri
     10 AM - 3 PM

COST
     $200 per student

ELIGABILITY
       The DV workshop is intended primarily for current high school
students or incoming freshmen, and recent high school graduates. The course
may be of interest to film-lovers of all ages who are also welcome to
attend. Due to resources and staff limits, enrollment will be limited to 12
students.

Founded in August of 2002, First Cut Studios Inc. is an Ohio not for-profit
corporation created with the goal of promoting interest in movie production
among young adults, particularly in the Cleveland area.  In conjunction wit=
h
Benedictine High School, FCS will expose students to aspects of movie
pre-production, filming, editing, and distribution via annual productions,
film camps, scholarships to local film festivals and workshops, and
discussions with established filmmakers about careers in the film industry.
