All performances are free and all begin at 7 p.m.

Calliope Series - Free Concerts, Sundays Nights in June

Music takes over in June with the four-performance Calliope Concert
Series, starting June 6 at 7 p.m. with a performance by the Cuyahoga
Community College Concert Band. The band plays perennial favorite kicks
off our 2004 summer season "Big Band Style!"

Brian Henke and Friends invade June 13. Henke has been playing guitar
for more than 30 years, and after a long stint as an award-winning rock
guitarist he began composing for solo acoustic guitar in 1994. Henke
maintains a busy solo performance schedule (about 300 shows per year)
all over the U.S. www.brianhenkeguitar.com

On June 20, The Bluescasters, Northern Ohio's distinguished homegrown
blues band has Tom O'Maille playing guitar, Pete Scorzino on bass guitar
and singing vocals, Jim Sulen on drums, and Bruce Koscheck doing vocals,
keyboard and saxophone. You can find out more about the group at
www.bluescasters.org.

On June 27th, Parma Native Jim Gill & Friends warms the summer evening
with his mix of folk/rock that will be sure to delight one and all, big
and small. www.JimGillmusic.com

The CCC West McGonagle Players present evenings of Free Theatre with
The Fan by Carlo Goldoni.

The amphitheatre stages gives up music for comedy in July when Tri-C
West's own McGonagle players perform The Fan by Carlo Goldoni
(1707-1793). =20

The Fan is a crossover piece between Commedia del'Arte and Comedy of
Manners. The play's action revolves around the gift of a fan, but as in
modern life, many onlookers misinterpret the gift, form their own
opinions and begin gossiping about the giver's -- and receiver's --
intentions. What ensues is a comic romp that follows the fan, its
several owners, and the gossipers' many interpretations. All ends well
as the fan finds its rightful home.=20

Performance dates for The Fan are July 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, all at
7 p.m. In case of rain, productions will be held indoors in the
air-conditioned theatre.

The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival

Rounding out the summer season is the return of the Cleveland
Shakespeare Festival, this year performing Romeo and Juliet on July 29
and 31, August 6 and 8, and The Tempest on July 30 and August 1, 5 and
7. The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival has been pleasing Cleveland
theatergoers with free, outdoor Shakespeare since 1998. You can keep up
with the festival at www.cleveshakes.org <http://www.cleveshakes.org/> .

No reservations or are required for the summer season. For more
information, call the Western Campus Theatre Box Office at (216)
987-5336.
