In the Friday, July 16 edition of the Elyria /Chronicle Telegram/'s 
Encore coverage of "The Wizard of Oz," their editing choices have caused 
confusion over production dates.  *_PLEASE NOTE:  Elyria Summer 
Theatre's production of "The Wizard of Oz" runs JULY 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 
25_*.  Full info noted below.

Elyria Summer Theatre Association is pleased to announce the opening of 
the musical, "The Wizard of Oz," with performances on July 16, 17, 18, 
23, 24 and 25 in the air-conditioned Elyria High School Auditorium. 
Friday and Saturday shows begin at 8:00 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 
2:00 p.m.

Based on Frank Baum's classic story, with music and lyrics by Harold 
Arlen and E.Y. Harburg, this production was adapted in 1988 by the Royal 
Shakespeare Company for live stage performance, and strives to look and 
sound just like the famous film. The production features a cast of 60+ 
(plus a cute dog!) directed by J.R. Simons, with music direction by J.T. 
Buck and choreography by Greg Dziama.

Reservations may be made by calling (440) 329-2111. All tickets are $10, 
and are also available at the door. Elyria High School Auditorium is 
located on West Ave. at Fifth Street, just five blocks south of downtown 
Elyria.
