Subject:	auditions for Lobby Hero at the Beck Center

The Beck Center for the Arts will present the northeast ohio premiere of
Lobby Hero, by Kenneth Lonergan, directed by Seth Gordon, October 1-24.
Rehearsals will begin on or about August 31.

Auditions will take place Tuesday evening, July 20, starting at 6PM, and
Wednesday, July 21, starting at 7PM, at the Beck Center, 17801 Detroit
Avenue in Lakewood. They will be by appointment. To schedule one, please
call 216 521 2540, x239. Please prepare sides for the character you wish to
play. To peruse a copy of the script and be given a set of sides, stop by
the Beck Center during working hours.

All four roles are open, and both AEA and non-AEA will be considered for
all four roles:

Jeff: 20's. A bit of a confused loser who can't get a better job than that
of night doorman, and can't hold onto most of the jobs he gets. He has a
huge heart, though, and is looking to change his life in a very good way.

William: Jeff's captain, late 20's/30's, African-American. He's very big on
following the rules in life, and letting that cancel out whatever curves
life might throw. He's very proud of his accomplishments, and has little
patience for those who don't share his sense of morality and his pride.

Bill: Uniformed cop in his 30's. His sense of morality is quite different
than William's, at least at first glance. Mainly he's a cad who loves
getting his way and is quite good at it, but in fact he takes police work
very seriously.

Dawn: Bill's rookie partner, 20's, attractive. She's wanted to be a cop all
her life, and now her dream coming true is giving her more than she
bargained for. A very soft person with a very tough exterior.
