Thank you to everyone who submitted plays for this festival.  We =
received 27 plays.  Unfortunately, this was far short of our goal of 90 =
plays for this inaugural festival.  For this and several other reasons, =
we have decided to postpone the production of these plays until late May =
2005.

In the meantime, we will choose our top 3 plays entered to date and will =
award cash prizes to those entrants.  An announcement of the 3 =
preliminary winners will be made after the weekend of September 10, =
2004.  Those 3 winners, along with the other 24 entries will be carried =
over to the May 2005 festival date.

At this time, we would like to re-open the call for submissions to this =
festival in order to encourage would-be writers to submit one minute =
plays on one of the following themes:  mystery, marriage or medieval.  =
Entries must be no longer than one minute in running time (approximately =
1-2 typed pages).  Please see the One Minute Play contest page at my =
personal website (http://www.jrsimons.8m.com/shopping_page.html) for =
complete contest guidelines.  The new submission deadline date will be =
January 15, 2005.

Once again, thank you to all who entered up to this point.  We look =
forward to reading more outstanding entries.
