The Fine Arts Association in Willoughby announces our 2004-2005 Theatre
Season with six enticing shows sure to inspire and entertain.

Opening the season in October, is A Street Car Named Desire, directed by
well-known Cleveland area director and designer Russ Borski This stirring
American classic by Tennessee Williams follows the life of Blanche Dubois as
she creates havoc when she moves in to the New Orleans apartment of her
sister and her sister's husband Stanley. Made famous by its landmark film
version starring the late Marlon Brando, this drama is combustible.

Celebrating the holiday season is the modern classic A Christmas Story,
directed by Brint Learned who last directed Hellcab at Fine Arts. Opening
in late November, this lovable and enduring story provides comic relief to a
rushed holiday season as Ralphie causes mischief and begs for his beloved
Daisy Red Ryder 200-shot Carbine Action BB Gun.

Cloud Tectonics takes the Shadowbox Theatre stage in early February, under
the direction of Fine Arts Theatre Department Chair Fabio Polanco. A
fantasy love story where miraculous occurrences are common, time is
undetected, and love is the greatest gift of all, Cloud Tectonics is both
enchanting and haunting.

The Fine Arts Association's first musical of the season, You're a Good Man,
Charlie Brown, is presented this spring by the Yarnell Young Adult Theatre
Company under the direction of Nancy Shimonek Brooks. Based on the famous
comic strips of Charles M. Schulz, this show is sure to make children of all
ages smile. Follow Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang through a world of
baseball games, Valentines and hungry dogs as they come to appreciate each
other and realize what "Happiness" really means.

The 9th Annual One Act Festival, entitled Love's Fire, is comprised of one
acts, each paired with the Shakespearean love sonnet that inspired it.
These sonnet interpretations by noted contemporary playwrights present a
variety of different moods, settings, and plots, sure to entertain. The 9th
edition of this popular festival, conceived and directed by Ann Hedger since
its inception, celebrates the modern playwrights' adoration of the Bard.

Closing the season is the legendary Anyone Can Whistle by Arthur Laurents
with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. This crazy musical tells the
story of a town being tricked by its corrupt mayoress and those out to
expose the truth. Directed by Fabio Polanco, Anyone Can Whistle delivers a
poignant message about the importance of the individual in a conformist
society. South African actress Gina Schmukler, who portrayed Maura Clarke
in last season's production of Missionaries returns to play Fay Apple.

The Fine Arts Association and Gavi's Restaurant will again offer the very
popular Dinner/Theatre Packages. The package includes your theatre ticket
and a full course meal at Gavi's prior to any evening performance or after
any Saturday matinee performance.
