* Work with Director of Marketing to identify opportunities for
marketing programs and projects to various constituents.
* Create press releases and PSA's for all Beck Center program
areas, i.e., Creative Arts Therapies, art, theater, music and dance.
Program examples: Razzle Dazzle, Fun Begins at the Beck, Kids-n-Tunes,
main stage, studio and youth theater performances, faculty recitals,
youth choir performances, summer camps, etc.
* Keep media, staff and board current with information on events
through email, faxes, bulletin boards and news clippings.

Brief Description
The Beck Center for the Arts is a non-profit, comprehensive cultural and
performing arts organization dedicated to enriching the quality of life
for northeastern Ohioans. We view our unique role as one of creating an
audience for tomorrow's art. We combine professional theatrical
productions with curriculum-based education in dance, music, theater and

Live Theater
The Beck Center provides audiences with theater productions that include
a traditional yet diverse combination of musicals, dramas and comedies
on two separate stages.=20

* Karl Mackey Auditorium seats 488. Typically six theatrical
productions are directed each season by the professional artistic staff
on this main stage.
* Studio Black Box Theater seats 88 in a smaller, intimate
theater that showcases five productions annually.

Arts Education
The staff and faculty at The Beck Center for the Arts believe that a
quality arts education can be provided to all people regardless of age
or ability. We are committed to offering comprehensive,
curriculum-based programs in the areas of dance, music, theater and
visual arts. All classes are led by experienced and trained
professionals who encourage each and every student to stretch to his or
her artistic potential.

Creative Arts Therapies
The Creative Arts Therapies department assists individuals who have a
variety of special needs by enhancing their quality of life through the
creative arts. The needs of these individuals may include mental,
physical or developmental afflictions. In addition to weekly individual
sessions on campus, the department offers music and art therapy on a
contractual basis to various therapeutic, rehabilitative, community or
educational agencies. The department also offers music programs to
early childhood enrichment centers on a contractual basis.

Outreach Education
The Outreach Education department provides students of all abilities
high-quality and participatory arts instruction both inside local
schools and on the Beck Center campus with attention to the underserved.

Art Gallery
The art gallery located at the Beck Center is considered one of the
finest exhibition spaces in the Cleveland area. A partnership with the
Cleveland Artists' Foundation provides exhibits of historical and
scholarly importance, which are free and open to the public. The
Gallery is located in the theater lobby area.
