The Kelsey experience is as visual as it is aural. While the CD listener
will experience his exceptional music, those who see his live performance
gain a whole new level of appreciation for the artist's amazing technique,
his astounding fingerwork and his free flowing improvisation.

After placing as a finalist in Guitar Player Magazine's last national
competition, he switched from electric to acoustic guitar to take advantage
of the broader variety of sounds, moods and nuances available from this
instrument that could increase the dimensions of his music. Rhythm has
always been the driving force behind his compositions. All those influences
now pour out of each song or instrumental, and every listener finds
something familiar, something fascinating, something remarkable about
Kelsey's unique interpretations. He offers up a tasty smorgasbord of sound,
sometimes electronically enhanced using technology to find new expressions
to take the listener to another level.

At the 20004 Guitarmageddon competition. Michael Kelsey showed the audience
and the judges he was worthy of being the best amateur guitarist in the
country, though his playing was anything but amateurish. With jaw-dropping
chops and charisma that rivals Jim Morrison and doing everything from
detuning his strings to pounding on the back and sides, of his acoustic
guitar, truly made Michael an original and innovative force to be reckoned
