Session I: 9/13-11/8, 9 weeks
No prior experience is required. In this class the idea of =
moment-to-moment play is established as the basis of acting technique. =
It is a Meisner-based, practical approach to strengthening listening and =
communication skills which will lead an actor to becoming comfortable =
with all applications of acting from stage to screen.

Scene Study
Donald Squires

Instructor permission required.
Session I: 9/13-11/8, 9 weeks
In this class, characterization, motivation, sub-text, relationships as =
well as the idea of moment- to-moment play are explored through the =
works of modern playwrights. Monologue work is also encouraged.=20

Playwriting I=20
Greg Vovos
Mondays 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
9/13-11/8, 9weeks
Learn the craft of playwriting by mastering the technique of the =
ten-minute play. By writing and critiquing each other's works and =
discussing the elements of theater, we will focus on the various issues =
that separate playwriting from other forms of writing. Each week we will =
focus on a different challenge, including getting one's work produced! =
The class will culminate in an exciting evening of theater in which each =
playwright will pick one of his/her plays for a staged reading. Greg =
Vovos is a playwright and director whose work has been seen at many =
theaters in the Cleveland area and have been produced all over the =
country and as far away as Belgrade and Australia.
