Cleveland, Ohio - Come and experience the lighter side of Andrew Lloyd
Webber as The Beck Center for the Arts opens its 2004-2005 Season with
the Cleveland premiere of By Jeeves running September 17 through October
10 on the Main Stage.

Based on the classic P.G. Wodehouse stories, By Jeeves is a musical
comedy that provides a refreshing alternative to the larger and louder
musicals in this daftly-inspired collaboration with award-winning
playwright Alan Ayckbourn.  The premise behind By Jeeves is the
manservant, Jeeves (stereotypically thought to be beneath upper class
folks), is actually the brains behind an English buffoon by the name of
Bertie Wooster.  A tale of escalating chaos unfolds to the accompaniment
of one of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most vivacious and lively scores.

The show will be directed by Michael Rogaliner who recently created and
directs floor shows for Pickwick & Frolic.  Other directing credits
include Godspell and Anything Goes both for the Beck Center, along with
Evita, Jesus Chris Superstar and Jeffrey.  Michael holds a BFA in
directing from Syracuse University.  "The cast and I have had a great
time creating these very funny characters for this area premiere.  Even
the music is funny," says Rogaliner.  The cast for By Jeeves includes
Dana Hart as Jeeves and Larry Nehring as Bertram Wooster.  Musical
direction will be provided by Larry Goodpaster.

By Jeeves runs September 17 through October 10. Show times are Fridays
and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 3:00 p.m. A special
Thursday night performance is scheduled for October 7. For tickets to
