Director Brint Learned Announces Auditions for A Christmas Story at The Fine
Arts Association

On Monday, September 13 and Tuesday, September 14.

The Fine Arts Association, 38660 Mentor Avenue, Willoughby will hold
auditions for A Christmas Story a play by Philip Grecian based on the
writings of Jean Shepherd. 
Director: Brint Learned 
The Story:  Jean Shepherd's memoir of growing up in the Midwest of the 1940s
follows 9 year old Ralphie in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun
under the tree for Christmas.  All the elements from the beloved motion
picture are here, including the family's temperamental exploding furnace;
Scut Farkas, the school bully; the boys; experiment with a wet tongue on a
cold lamppost; the Little Orphan Annie decoder pin; Ralphie's father winning
the net-stockinged leg lamp; Ralphie's fantasy scenarios and more.
Speaking Roles:  
*	Ralph, as an adult (Storyteller)-age 30s-40s 
*	Ralphie Parker (at 9 years old)-minimum age, 8 years old 
*	Mother-age 30s- 40s 
*	The Old Man (Father)-age 30s-40s 
*	Randy (Ralphie's younger brother)-minimum age, 8 years old

Audition dates:       Monday, September 13- 7:30-8:30 pm for ages 8 to 14
years old; 8:30-10:30 pm for ages 15 years old to adult
Tuesday, September 14- 7:30-8:30 pm for ages 8 to 14 years old; 8:30-10:30
pm for ages 15 years old to adult 

Audition location:  The Shadowbox Theatre at The Fine Arts Association,
38660 Mentor Avenue, Willoughby.
Preparation:  Actors should come prepared to read from the script.
No Appointments Required. 
For appointments and questions regarding the auditions themselves:  Call Ann

Performance dates: November 19, 20, 26 & 27 and December 3, 4, 10 & 11 at
7:30 pm ; and November 21 & 28 and December 5 & 12 at 3:00 pm.  
Rehearsals begin Monday, October 11
