NOMINATIONS SOUGHT FOR AREA
VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATOR AWARD

For Immediate Release

CLEVELAND (9/14/04) —The Forum for Volunteer Administrators is seeking 
nominations for its second annual Volunteer Administrator of the Year Award. 
  The award was instituted to honor a Greater Cleveland not-for-profit 
volunteer administrator who has demonstrated outstanding innovation, 
dedication and perseverance in the profession of volunteer administration.

Last year’s inaugural award recipient was Jo Ann Jacobson, manager of 
volunteerism at the Greater Cleveland Chapter American Red Cross, who was 
nominated by her director of human resources and the assistant health 
commissioner at the Cuyahoga County Board of Health.

Guidelines and applications for the 2004 award can be obtained from Rob

  Nomination deadline:  September 30.

With its origins beginning more than 50 years ago, the Forum for Volunteer 
Administrators is now a Northeastern Ohio independent, not-for-profit 
organization whose mission is to provide mutual support, continuing dialogue 
and professional development opportunities for those involved in the 
leadership and management of volunteers.
