Hudson Players Third Annual Community Talent Show To Be Held This Weekend;
Fun for All

HUDSON, OH August 23, 2004 – The Hudson Players will present their popular
Third Annual Community Talent Show at 8 pm, September 17 & 18, at Barlow
Community Center located on Oviatt Street in Hudson, across from the Hudson
Fire Department.

The acts are varied and promise a variety sure to please all. Included are
musicians, comedy troupes, singers, bands and more.

“We have some great acts lined up representing all different styles of music
and performance,” said Gary Maher, Talent Show producer. “We even have a
Cuyahoga Falls firefighter who will be singing in tribute to those lost on
9/11. In addition we have a youth oriented performing arts comedy troupe,
musicians who play both harp and piano and more. We also have a couple of
great bands and singers who have played in some other fairly impressive
venues.”

Acts scheduled to appear include: David Palomo, a guitar player and folk
singer from Hudson, Ohio; Madison Miller, a your harpist from Hudson, Ohio;
Lyndsey Hill, a contemporary country music singer from Stow, Ohio: Anastasia
Svoyatsky, a classical piano player from Streetsboro, Ohio; Andrew
Zimmerman, a young patriotic singer from Hudson, Ohio; Will Warren, a
singing firefighter from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio (who will do a Tribute to
firefighters lost during September 11); an two person Irish combo called
“Twice Celtic” featuring Meg Haury and Caty Petersilge; the band “8-Track”
featuring original music by Andrew Syme and Todd Meyer of Stow, Ohio;
Shannon Davis, a current pop music singer from Hudson, Ohio; and the band
Ecliptic, a four member band from Hudson, Ohio. Additional acts including
the band “Face” and the Destiny Youth Academy are also scheduled.

Tickets are $10.00 and may be reserved via phone by calling (330) 655-8522
or purchased at the door if available. Reservations are encouraged.
Additional information on the groups season is available on the Hudson
Players website available at www.hudsonplayers.com.

"This production offers something for everyone," says Maher. "That’s the
fun of a talent show, you get to see a large variety of entertainment and
styles in a small period of time. And that’s not even taking into
consideration the humor available from the announcers. It really is a great
night out for the family. Inexpensive and fun.”

The Hudson Players are one of the area’s longest running community theaters
and are members of the Hudson Chamber of Commerce, The Ohio Community
Theatre Association and the American Association of Community Theater. The
Hudson Players are a non-profit 501-C-3 organization.
