Chagrin Valley Little Theatre

Presents A Mid Summer Night's Dream

September 20, 2004 :  A Mid Summer Night's Dream is a play where the =
characters often meditate on the nature of love; while nothing they say =
is startingly original, Shakespeare's lyricism can be profound.  While =
there are many things in A Mid Summer Night's Dream that modern =
audiences enjoy about the play, the theme of love is one that many =
people, from Shakespeare's original audiences to modern audiences, can =
relate to.

Characters, theme and story lie at the heart of Shakespeare's plays - =
not the "forsooth" and "me thinkest". Most of The Bard's original =
audiences were "the common folk" - if they were able to grasp and enjoy =
what Will was saying we are quite confident that you our audience can =
figure it out as well.
