Cleveland's diverse theatrical community continues to grow this week with the addition of "The Other Theater Project", a new production company which was created by Aaron Patterson and Russel Stich, and will present its first show this November.

"The Other Theater Project" was created with the goal of keeping artistic people working in an artistic environment. The "O.T.P." will strive to offer Clevelanders a unique and thought provoking theatrical experience by presenting established, but often lesser known one act comedies paired with original sketch material.

Stich and Patterson are both local actors who have done some directing. They first worked together at "Tony 'n Tina's Wedding" and are currently cast members at Cabaret Dada Improvisational Theater. This new venture will be based out of "The Cleveland Black Box Theater" an independent productions venue that operates in Dada's 130 seat space.

"The Other Theater Project" has already secured the rights for their first two productions. "Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You", by Christopher Durang will be their premier production in November, followed by Elaine May's "Adaptation" which will go up in February, 2005. Each show will be accompanied by an original comedy sketch. Stich is slated to direct the first two shows while Patterson will produce, after that; they hope to open future productions to other interested parties.
