The Players Guild of Canton is pleased to announce a collaboration with
The North Canton Playhouse. Together the two theatres are presenting the
production Run for your Wife October 8 - 10 at The Players Guild
Theatre. This production was first mounted at the North Canton Playhouse
in January, 2004.=20

This is the first collaboration of this kind in our community, and is a
direct result of ACTS (A Coalition of Theatres in Stark). ACTS,
established in 2003, consists of six community theatres in Stark County.
Its purpose is to share resources, ideas and talents with the goal of
bringing quality live theatre to the greater Stark County area. =20

Run for your Wife, written by Ray Cooney, is a superb British farce in
the tradition of Monty Python. It's the story of a London cabbie who is
married to Mary.... and Barbara, neither of whom know about the other's
existence. With the help of a neighbor, he tries to keep two suspicious
police detectives from finding out his secret, while keeping his two
wives from finding out about each other.=20

Directed by Mary McManaway, Artistic Director of the North Canton
Playhouse, the cast consists of Lisa Paynter, Tracy Schaar, Ted Paynter,
Ed Munier, Mark Stoffer, Era Lynn Tripp, Ginger Doughan, and Mike
Daniels. =20

Run for your Wife opens at The Players Guild Theatre on October 8 and
runs through October 10. Performances are 8:00 p.m. on Friday & Saturday
and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $10, and can be purchased by
calling the Players Guild box office (330) 453-7617.
