The correct date for the "Meet the Maritime" author dinner at the Coast 
Guard Club of Cleveland is Friday, November 5, 2004, from 6 - 9 pm.  For 
those who read the attachment, it was listed incorrectly.

Also, two authors are local to the Cleveland area for those interested in 
pre-program interviews.  The corrected information is listed below.

The Great Lakes Historical Society of Vermilion and the Steamship William G. 
Mather Museum of Cleveland invite Great Lakes maritime enthusiasts to “Meet 
the Maritime Author” on Friday, November 5, at the Coast Guard Club of 
Cleveland.

Enjoy a buffet dinner and free parking while listening to current maritime 
authors discuss their works.  You can also ask questions to explore their 
knowledge of maritime lore.  Authors scheduled to appear and their 
highlighted work include: Thomas O. Murphy of Chagrin Falls, Ohio “Steamer 
Edmund Fitzgerald: The Mystique and Its Evolution,”  Paul Somers of 
Champagne, Illinois “Lake Michigan's Aircraft Carriers,”  David G. Brown of 
Port Clinton, Ohio “White Hurricane - A Great Lakes November Gale and 
America’s Deadliest Maritime Disaster,” and Michael J. Bennett of University 
Heights, Ohio “Union Jacks: Yankee Sailors in the Civil War.”

Reservations are required by October 29.  Call (440) 967-3467 ext. 5 in the

Master Card, Discovery, and American Express.  The cost is $20 for Museum
