Press Release

Chagrin Valley Little Theatre

Presents A Mid Summer Night's Dream

October 11, 2004 : What does Shakespeare write about? People =
who fall in love (A Mid Summer Nights Dream) people who have issues with =
their parents (Romeo & Juliet) people with step- parents they don't =
necessarily like (Hamlet) people who want other people's jobs (Macbeth), =
couples who have difficulty seeing eye-to-eye (Taming of the Shrew and =
Much Ado About Nothing) people who have issues with their kids (King =
Lear).

As long as humans walk the earth, we'll still wrestle with the same =
issues.=20

Our production is designed to be relevant to the actors and their =
audience of friends and peers. The show is all relationship-driven - =
couples who come together by chance, couples who come together by =
destiny. Girls with crushes on boys, boys with crushes on girls, girls =
who have crushes on boys who don't like them back. It's a microcosm of =
the world they live in at this time of their lives. Is there anyone who =
can't relate to that?=20

There'll be music that's familiar, though not their own =
generation's...giving kids even more reason to talk to them about what =
it was like when their parents and grandparents were their age. =
Developing the theme with songs, the audience will see how Teenager In =
Love, Love Potion #9 and even Ghostbusters will help move the story =
forward.

Mix well with balloons, bubbles, streamers, silly string, =
glow-in-the-dark stars and confetti, and you have CVLT's tribute to =
Shakespeare and this simple thought: "In my dreams the person I love =
returns that love with the same passion as it is given."=20

=20

Now, who would have trouble understanding that concept?=20

Come and enjoy the magic of A Mid Summer Night's Dream at Chagrin Valley =
Little Theatre!
