First of all, thank you so very much for so kindly including the notice of
Sideliine Design's closing sale in your newsletter last week. It was wildly
successful, and many of the attendees mentioned they had received the notic=
e
from NE Ohio PAL. We were especially pleased to see so much really great
stuff going to the theatres and theatre departments that could never afford
to pay for this stuff new or even build it themselves, and we know they wer=
e
thrilled as well.

Okay, I realize this is going to the well twice, but here it is: There is s=
o
much stuff jam-packed into that studio that it was impossible to display it
all at one time, so we were forced to divide the sale into two weekends
instead of one. To make it seem at least a little bit logical, we held back
the tools and stuff like that for a second sale, which will be this weekend=
.
I hope you will indulge us with a second notice. There is some really great
stuff remaining from last week, and there are even a few movie props left.
It would be great to see more of this great stuff going to the theatres tha=
t
need it.

The copy is below. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart, and have a
fun day!

TOOL, HARDWARE, SHELVING SALE
at the Sideline Design Scenic Studio

After more than 24 years in business, Jim Gelarden of Sideline Design has
decided to close his scenery and props studio in order to focus on his
career in film production design. The liquidation sale concludes this
weekend with the TOOL SALE.

Items include stationary and hand power tools, hand tools, tons of hardware=
,
lumber, Formica, paint, shelving, file cabinets, electrical supplies...the
list goes on and on. Great buys include a Tiffany style lamp and other
chandeliers and lighting fixtures. There are still a few remaining items
from last week=B9s sale of props and set pieces from all the movies Jim has
worked on, including some giant stills from =B3Telling Lies In America=B2 and
tote board lights from =B3Seabiscuit=B2, as well as a few vintage typewriters,
cameras and telephones.

The sale will be held at the Sideline Design studio on Friday and Saturday,
October 15 & 16, 9 AM - 3 PM. The studio is located at the rear of the
Shovel Works Building, 1588 East 40th Street. The prices are great and the
sawdust is free, so please wear old clothes and real shoes (i.e., no
sandals). Absolutely no children will be admitted.
