MEDIA ADVISORY

Sir Simon Rattle, music director of the Berlin Philharmonic, will guest 
conduct the Oberlin Chamber Orchestra at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. 



WHO:	Sir Simon Rattle
	Members of the Oberlin Chamber Orchestra
	Alyson Cambridge '02, soprano soloist


WHAT:	Sir Simon Rattle conducts the Oberlin Chamber Orchestra
	in a performance of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 4.

	General Seating Tickets for the public are $10
	and available by calling Oberlin's Central Ticket
	Service: 440-775-8169.			
	This concert is free to those with an Oberlin College I.D.

	WCLV 104.9 FM will air a live broadcast of this concert
	with the generous support of The Riverside Company.

	Soprano soloist for the performance is Alyson Cambridge, a
	2002 graduate of Oberlin. Cambridge is a member of the
	Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development 			Program and a 
2003 winner of the Metropolitan Opera Competition.


WHEN:	Wednesday, December 1, at 8 p.m.
