Habitat East Announces One-Night Engagement of Election 20,004: A Race Odyssey
Saturday, October 23rd at Cleveland Public Theatre

Space Fungus! Baby Eaters! The Amish!

It is the year 20,004. It is a time of war, greed and political unrest in a galaxy known as Ohio. Junior and Dickey (who bear an amazing resemblance to George W. Bush and Dick Cheney) rule the planets of Buckeye Five. Ohio's heart has broken and is in need of repair. Join the Lion, Edmund, Lucy and Susan as they race through the galaxy in search of the five pieces of Ohio's heart, as they try to put things right again.

Habitat East, the Cleveland-based improv and sketch comedy troupe, will perform their full-length original musical—just in time for the 2004 election—entitled Election 20,004: A Race Odyssey on Saturday, October 23rd at 8:00 P.M. at the Cleveland Public Theatre’s Parrish Hall, 6415 Detroit Avenue in Cleveland, OH. Performers include Adam Brooks, Maria Corell, Jeff Gosnell, Mike Hagesfeld, Kiff Vanden Heuvel, Marlene Kelly, Mike Kelly, Maria Livers, Mike Martone, Mel Minch and Mike Polk.

Ticket prices start at $12 with a maximum contribution of $50 per person. All proceeds from Habitat East’s show will be donated to MoveOn PAC, which helps members elect candidates who reflect their values. MoveOn PAC is part of MoveOn, which builds electronic advocacy groups around issues such as campaign finance, environmental and energy issues, media consolidation, and the Iraq war. Find out more about MoveOn at www.moveon.org. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Cleveland Public Theatre is located on Cleveland’s Near West Side, five minutes from Downtown. Parking is available off of West 65th Street. Directions are available at www.cptonline.org.

Habitat East began in 2001. For more info, visit www.geocities.com/habitateast/.
