As one of the most critical elections in American history approaches, CPT
presents a masterpiece from America’s most revolutionary playwright. An
eclectic group of friends living in Germany during the Weimar Republic must
deal with the alarming changes in their government. As the Nazis come to
power we see the range of responses that individuals make as they grapple
with evil. Written twenty years ago as a response to Reagan’s second
inauguration by the Pulitzer Prize winning writer of ANGELS IN AMERICA, the
play has even more startling relevance now.
