"If the phrase 'tour de farce' hasn't been invented yet, David
Lindsay-Abaire's incredible 'Fuddy Meers' will force it into being."
-Larry Stark

=20

This fall the Cuyahoga Community College Western Campus Theatre is
entering into the darkly comic funhouse of David Lindsay-Abaire's Fuddy
Meers. =20

=20

"Willfully Silly, Fresh, Zingy. Lindsay-Abaire is a welcome arrival."
-Ben Brantley, The New York Times

=20

Fuddy Meers is a wild ride with Claire, a "memory-challenged" woman, and
her alleged family. Kidnapped by one husband and pursued by another,
Claire seeks the truth. Like the distorted and warped reflections of a
funhouse mirror (which the title alludes to), Claire sees herself
reflected back to her by a family that wants her to forget the past.
There's the all-to-good-to-be-true husband, a mysterious, limping
stranger, the pot-smoking teenage son, a tough lady cop, the
ventriloquist with a "foul-mouthed" dummy, and Claire's mother, a stroke
victim who can only speak gibberish. David Lindsay-Abaire's play is
funny, mysterious, and as the puzzle pieces begin to be arranged,
ultimately empowering. NOTE: For mature audiences only.

=20

Tri-C Western Campus Theatre will open Fuddy Meers on November 5, and
run November 6, 10, 12, 13 at 8 pm and November 7 and 14 at 3 pm.

=20

The play will be directed by Tri-C Western Campus Theatre Coordinator,
Robert Ellis, who will be assisted by Fred Gloor. Mr. Ellis's creative
team includes set designer Terry Martin, lighting designer Tom Cullinan,
and costumer designer Edna Erez.

=20

The cast for this "tour de farce" is as follows: Danielle Price
(Claire), Allen Seeley (Millet), Keith Maag (Richard), Arthur Grothe
(Limping Man), Reagen Player and Carly Filbin (Heidi), Eric Bartowski
(Kenny), and Melissa Bruder (Gertie).
