There will be a post discussion immediately following this Saturday's 8 =
pm show of Jonathan Reynolds Stonewall Jackson's House with Lisa Louise =
Langford. Ms. Langford  played LaWanda in the original Off Broadway =
production at American Place Theatre in 1997.  She will share her =
stories on the process of the New York production, the play's scuccess, =
her encounter with the playwright and why most theatres, particularly =
black, refuse to produce this controversial play.=20


Lisa Louise Langford is a graduate of Harvard University. She studied =
drama at Juilliard and the American Repertory Theater. She has performed =
in numerous theaters across the country, including Baltimore Center =
Stage, Pittsburgh Public, LaJolla Playhouse, Actors' Theater of =
Louisville, and San Diego's Old Globe.  Her favorite roles include Vera =
in August Wilson's Seven Guitars, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream,  =
and LaWanda in Stonewall Jackson's House, which she orginated =
off-Broadway. She also won an Encore award and received a Lucille Lortel =
nomination for the role of LaWanda.

Ms. Langford was also the director of the hit Youth Theatre production =
of  Babies Having Babies  this Fall at Karamu.
