The Beck Center for the Arts

Invites you to take an adventure=20

with Dr. Seuss in=20

Seussical,

December 3- January 2

=20

Cleveland, Ohio - "After all those years being stuck on a
page, did you ever imagine you'd see me onstage? Now I'm here, there is
no telling what may ensue! No, there's no telling what! But I'll give
you a clue..." The Beck Center proudly presents Seussical, December 3
through January 2 on the main stage.

Don't miss this musical extravaganza as the Cat in the Hat
guide's the audience through the world of Seuss. Horton the Elephant
attempts to save the Whos and protect the egg left in his care by Mayzie
LaBird. Other Seuss characters include Gertrude McFuzz, the citizens of
the Jungle of Nool, and all the Whos of Whoville. This is one adventure
you do not want to miss! =20

Seussical, is the newest musical by composer/lyricist team
Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, best known for their Tony winning musical
Ragtime and the film score from Anastasia. Combining at least fourteen
of Dr. Seuss's stories, they have created a plot filled with rhymes and
amazing melodies. "Seussical isn't just a musical. It's a - lose your
bluesical, loosey-gooseical lollapaloozical show," says David Cuthbert.=20

The Beck Center production is directed by Scott Spence with musical
direction by Larry Goodpastor and choreography by Martin Cespedes.
"Seussical" is one of those rare pieces of theatre that can actively
share the joy between the material, the performers and the audience.
The stories of Seuss, all wonderfully crafted together, will make for
the perfect family show as we all celebrate our holiday season, says
Spence.

Show times are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.
and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. Saturday matinees will be offered at 4 p.m. on
December 11th and December 18th. Tickets are $26 for adults, $23 for
seniors (65 & older) and $15 for students (22 & under with ID).
Discount rates are available for groups of 15 or more. For group
inquires call Brian Bowers at (216) 521-2540 ext. 228. For tickets to
