Synopsis:
It is suburban Chicago, in the mid 1970's. A non-equity professional =
theatre is closing it's summer season with the final performance of =
Hamlet.

In a play within a play style we learn that there is as much going on =
backstage as on, as each of these dedicated actors, uncertain as to what =
tomorrow will bring, confront defining moments that may shape their =
lives as artists.

One member of the company who teaches to help support his wife and child =
is on the verge of sacrificing all to work only as an actor. Two others =
who are married to each other and have always agreed to only work =
together, must deal with the tension when she is offered a full =
professional season at a theatre across the country. And the leading man =
and His Ophelia have become a genuine romantic item over the summer, and =
what becomes of their relationship after this night.

This and much more is explored in this comedy with drama, while each of =
these characters supports in their own way the underlying theme of the =
play which is why actors (out of love of their art) choose to do what =
they do.

This well crafted play is often hilarious with serious moments that =
makes it an excellent ensemble work.
