This story, taken from the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, tells of her childhood
in vaudeville with her stage mother calling all the shots, then taking us to
her rise to stardom in the world of burlesque. The production numbers are
huge and the story captures your heart! The final 20 minutes are modified
to suit the ages of our cast and audience.

The Playmakers Youth Theatre was founded in 1997 to encourage young people
to express themselves through dance, drama and music, and to build
self-esteem and self-confidence while promoting a strong sense of Jewish
values through the arts. Playmakers offers programming for all ages,
including classes for Pre-K, musicals that include 2nd-9th graders, and
shows geared toward high school and college-aged students. The yearly
GrandTyme Intergenerational Musical is written by Program Director Sheri
Gross and includes parents, grandparents, and children in one production.
