Red Hen Productions, Cleveland=B9s Feminist Theatre, will be holding audition=
s
for the Body Outlaws Outreach Project Sunday November 28 at 5pm and Monday,
November 29th at 7pm at SPACES Art Gallery, located at 2220 Superior Viaduc=
t
on the West side of the Flats. Superior Viaduct runs parallel to the
Detroit-Superior Bridge at the intersection of West 25th Street.

The Body Outlaws Outreach Project will reach girls of all races aged 14 =AD 1=
8
attending middle and high school in Cuyahoga County. These humorous and
dramatic stories by real women depict the various ways that women and girls
struggle with, and can overcome, the societal constraints of body image and
self-perception. The interactive play discusses (among other topics)
thinness, skin color, the =B3right=B2 hair, the modeling industry, stature, age=
,
and having a =B3Jewish=B2 nose or a =B3Black butt.=B2 Performances will take place
in Cleveland and East Cleveland Schools, Public Libraries, and City
Recreation Centers. Each 40-minute performance will be followed by an
educational talk back with the actors and a trained facilitator.

Directed by local actor, director, and educator Carol Laursen, the Outlaws
will be paid acting positions that require daytime availability. The
director is looking for a variety of women actors of all races, sizes and
ages. Actors should prepare a brief (under 3minutes) monologue and come
prepared to participate in a group audition.
