If your images of Christmas are hearty fireplaces and laughing children and=
cheery relatives gathered in celebration of the warm and loving family=85.=
this show is not for you.

However, if Christmas seems closer to the scene from =93Female Trouble=94 w=
here Dawn Davenport topples the Christmas tree on her mother, stomps on all=
the packages and curses her parents for not getting her the Cha-cha heels=
=85.welcome home, traveler!

Cleveland Yucks presents =93Hearth of Darkness=94, a showcase of dark, sarc=
astic, bitter Christmas stand-up comedy by three of the more disturbing loc=
al talents, Jeff Blanchard, Mike Baker, and John Wellington.

Called "The funniest man in Cleveland..." by Scene magazine, Jeff Blanchard=
has been on the comedy circuit for over 14 years. He has performed in coll=
eges and clubs all over the country and cemented his Cleveland roots by co-=
founding Cabaret Dada Improvisational Theater, where he served as Artistic =
Director. Blanchard=92s evil John Candy persona is the perfect vehicle for =
his sardonic wit.

Mike Baker is the founder of Cleveland Yucks and long time practitioner of =
the satirical arts. Once the creator and front-man of controversial punk ba=
nds =93Sleazy Jesus and the Splatter Pigs=94 and =93Hucklebuck=94, Baker ha=
s moved on to the world of stand-up comedy with predictable results. This i=
s going-for-the-jugular, no holds barred stand-up from way out in left fiel=
d. Love him or hate him, you will definitely remember a Baker set.

Emceeing the show will be Cleveland=92s own West Virginia ex-patriot, John =
Wellington. John has been shaking up crowds all around the area with his ve=
ry dark, very brutal style. With his serial killer teddy-bear delivery, Joh=
n leaves you wondering whether it was okay to laugh so hard at such evil su=
bjects.

This is NOT a show for the easily offended. This is a show for people who l=
ike their laughs a little on the rough side.
