            KENT STATE STARK THEATRE ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR 
          "JACQUES BREL IS ALIVE AND WELL AND LIVING IN PARIS"

Kent State University Stark Campus Theatre announces open auditions for 
the musical, "Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris." 
Production conception, English lyrics and additional material are by 
Eric Blau and Mort Shuman; based on the commentary and lyrics of 
Jacques Brel, with music by Jacques Brel. Auditions will be held from 7 
to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12 and Monday, Dec. 13 in the theater of the 
Fine Arts Building.

The production will be performed on February 18-20, 24-27 and March 3-6 
in the Kent State Stark Theatre. Roles are available for two sopranos, 
two altos, two tenors and two bass vocalists. Those auditioning should 
choose a song from the musical or a ballad that best displays their 
vocal range. 

Music from the production will be available for periods of 24 hours 
from the secretary of the Fine Arts Building, Monday through Thursday, 
during business hours. Auditions are in 10-minute increments.
