Staff & Interns needed for Fairmount Performing Arts Camp
at Laurel School in Shaker Heights
AVAILABLE PAID POSITIONS
* GUEST ARTISTS (1 or 2 workshops per 3 week session)
* FULL-TIME STAFF (6 weeks, July 5 - August 12, Monday - Friday,
8:30am - 5:15pm; Additional required times are a few 3 hour staff meetings before
camps starts, 2 - 4 extended days that will go until 10:00pm for the
culminating performance nights, and 1 overnight per 3 week session).
Unit Supervisors to be in charge of individual programs. Proven skills in
supervising staff and working with children; Also, may direct, assistant
direct, music direct or choreograph scene study and teach classes. College age and
above, degree preferred.
Directors, Choreographers and Music Directors: Skilled in directing children
and teens. College age and above, degree preferred.
Master Teachers/Guest Artists in a variety of areas: Acting, Scene Study,
Creative Dramatics, Audition Techniques, Shakespeare, Voice, Movement, Dance,
Playwriting, Stage Combat, Stage Make-up, etc. College degree or equivalent
professional experience. These individuals should be experienced professional
directors, actors or college professors.
Teachers in a variety of areas: Acting, Scene Study, Creative Dramatics,
Audition Techniques, Shakespeare, Voice, Movement, Dance, Playwriting, Stage
Combat, Stage Make-up, etc. College age and above, degree preferred.
Counselors: Group leaders. In addition to the typical duties of camp
counselors, these individuals will assist with teaching, directing, choreographing,
etc. as their skills warrant. College age or above.
Assistant Counselors: Assistant Group leaders. In addition to the typical
duties of camp counselors, these individuals will assist with teaching,
directing, choreographing, etc. as their skills warrant. High School Seniors and
older.
Administrative Assistant - Assist the camp directors with nuts and bolts
activities of running the camp. High School Seniors and older.
AVAILABLE VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
INTERNS (6 weeks, July 5 - August 12, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:15pm;
