For February Black History Month, Karamu's Youth Theatre is presenting a =
one-act based on the tragic death of young 14 year old Emmett Till, =
brutally murdered in Money, Mississippi in 1955, for allegedly whistling =
at a white woman. His murder mobilized the Civil Rights movement. This =
powerful one-act was written by Indiana playwright Nicole C. Kearney =
Cooper. It will be a World Premier at Karamu.

theatre actors=20
Saturday, December 18, 2004 from 10:am - 1:00 pm

Actors should prepare one 2-3 minute monologue. Actors should be =
prepared to rehearse 2-3 evenings during the week and most Saturdays. =
All performers will receive complimentary tickets for some performances.

The Director is the talented "lady in Orange" from for colored girls who =
have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf, Kimberly Brown.
