Karamu House, Inc.  presents the Youth Theatre  Production of The Hobbit
adapted from J. R. R. Tolkien by Edward Mast.

The Hobbit
Before the Lord of the Rings there was The Hobbit.  This classic is a
suspenseful,  fast-moving journey through the sometimes dark, sometimes
charming, always compelling worl of Middle Earth.  Bilbo Baggins is a
comfortably well-off hobbit with a love for rousing adventure stories.  =
So
when Gandalf the wizard knocks at Bilbo's door, bringing with him Thorin
Oakenshield, 11 ragged  looking dwarfs, and a contract for an adventure =
to
recover the lost treasure of Lonely Mountain, Bilbo could not be less
interested-at first. And the excitement begins.   (Suited for the whole
family)
 When: January 15 thru January 30, 2005;  Where: Karamu's Jelliffe =
Theater;
Time: 2:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays:   Cost: Ticket prices are $6.00 =
each

Karamu is the oldest African American Cultural Arts Institution in the
United States and is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places.
