EAST CLEVELAND THEATRE
presents...
AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'
The Fats Waller Musical Show
By Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby, Jr.
Directed by Nathan A. Lilly
Musical Direction by Robyn L. Lanier
February 5 - 27, 2005
SHOW TIMES:
Fridays & Saturdays at 8 p.m.
Sundays at 3 p.m.
* Sunday, February 6 curtain is at 7:30 p.m.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
The outrageously prodigious comic and musical soul of 1930s Harlem
lives on in this rollicking, swinging, finger-snapping revue that is still
considered one of Broadways best. The inimitable Thomas Fats Waller
rose to international fame during the Golden Age of the Cotton Club,
honky tonk dives along Lenox Avenue, rent parties, stride piano players
and that jumpin new beat, Swing.
Although not quite a biography, Aint Misbehavin evokes the delightful
humor and infectious energy of this American original as a versatile
cast struts, strums and sings the songs he made famous in a career
that ranged from uptown clubs to downtown Tin Pan Alley to Hollywood
and concert stages in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
FEATURING:
Patricia Arnwine, Tonya Broach, Demetrius Carr,
Emilia Halsted, Meredith Johnson, and John Wilburn
Join us for "CABARET NIGHT" after our
Saturday, February 12, 8 p.m. performance.
Good times, Good tunes, and Good fun!
East Cleveland Theatre is located at 14180 Euclid Avenue.
