Cleveland State University Dance Program is pleased to announce the
Studio Sessions Dance Concert on Saturday, February 5 in Drinko Hall of
CSU's Music and Communication Building, with a starting time of 7:30
p.m. A yearlong project, Studio Sessions provides ongoing support for
northeast Ohio artists in the creation and production of new work.
Studio Sessions concert includes the presentation of original works
created by project participants Joe Booth, Lynn Deering, Joan Meggitt,
Megan Pitcher and Tammy Metz Starr, and a special performance of Piano,
choreographed and performed by Studio Sessions project facilitator
Claire Porter. An absolute gem involving a pianist who perseveres
despite the unexplained absence of her concert grand, Piano was called
"an immensely imaginative parody" that leaves the audience "delirious
with pleasure" by The New York Times. Ms. Porter will also moderate a
discussion among the choreographers and audience at a post concert
reception for the artists. For more information about the concert,
contact Lynn Deering at l.deering at csuohio.edu or 216 687-4883. For more
