Surprise your Sweetie, Celebrate Valentines Eve 

  

CLEVLEND, OH – On the Eve of Valentines Day, Sunday February 13th, Zion UCC of Tremont, 2716 West 14th St., Cleveland, OH is hosting 2 very special different events. Either one will score big points with your Sweet Heart. The Sweet Heart Buffet begins at 2:30 P.M. and following a delightful dinner you can listen to the fabulous big band sound of Gabriel’s Horns in a live concert beginning at 4:00 P.M.

Zion UCC holds events throughout the year to raise funds for our inner city outreach, drop in centers and other local church ministries. The wonderful response from last year prompted us to make this the second year for the Sweet Heart Buffet. This year’s menu includes Schnitzel, Oven Baked Chicken, Vegetarian Entrée, German Potato Salad, Cabbage Noodles, Soup and Salad, Bread and Butter and a Variety of Desserts and Beverages for $10.00 per person. Children under 5 eat free with a paid adult. Reservations deadline is February 6th. Seating for this event is limited so make your reservations early. The second event of the day is a fund-raiser for Gabriel’s Horns, a not for profit community jazz-praise band under the direction of Bandleader, James May Jr. The band consists of professional and amateur musicians who love what they do. The members come from diverse backgrounds teachers, pastors, high school and college students performing music that reflects the diversity of the group. From classical to jazz, from hymns to marches, the big band sound of Gabriel’s Horns will blow you away. They have performed with the legendary likes of Eddie Baccus Sr., Ron Davis, Duke Jenkins, Perry Williams III and others. The concert begins at 4:00 P.M. in Zion’s sanctuary. Admission to the concert is a freewill offering (suggested amount $10.00). For additional information on this concert, visit our website at http://zionchurch.org/gabehorn.htm. Wholesome and enjoyable entertainment such as this not only benefits two organizations but also gives the entire family a chance to enjoy the day, experiencing and discovering together. Zion UCC is handicap accessible and there is ample parking in the area.

Music is an important part of Zion UCC’s community ministry. Zion UCC hosts a variety of concerts and recitals. Along with the twice weekly Drop-in Center and Saturday Drop-in Meals Program for the homeless, Zion UCC of Tremont strives to offer food for the body, food for the mind and food for the spirit. All are welcome to join us for Sunday Worship at 10:30 A.M.
