I'm a stand up comedian and improvisational actor and also a subscriber. 
I "lurk" on the board more than anything, meaning I'm here mainly for the
announcements, and I don't think I've ever added to any discussion which
some feel are unrelated to a pure audition and show announcement service.
I thank Fred every day for this service.  I guess my two cents is that I
really don't mind discussions on NEOPAL.  I find them entertaining and
informative and it gives me a better idea of who is the arts community in
Cleveland.  It's apparent that we are all very passionate about the work
that we do. The discussions here also give true character to this service.
I must confess that I would probably never go to yahoo for any sort of
discussion.  I've been made a member of a couple groups on yahoo and have
found that they quickly end for lack of interest, and also for some reason
it's difficult to navigate these yahoo groups, because if you ever forget
a password or input the wrong information, you get shut out and can't get
back in. That's been my experience anyway.
Anyway, I enjoy the list exactly the way it is, including the content and
ongoing discussions. That's my vote.
