Traditional Russian characters are brought together in an epic tale of

Russia under his evil power for hundreds of years, but the new Tsar, Prince
Ivan, is determined to break his hold. When Kashei kidnaps Ivan's beloved
Vasilisa, Ivan joins forces with Maria the Skillful, Ilya the Strongman, and
the clown Skomorockh. Together they journey through dangerous forests and
battle a desperate robber, an enchanted tree, a dangerous swamp monster
and the
wily witch Baba Yaga to save Vasilisa and all of Russia.

Miller South's production features original music by vocal music teacher
Sarah
Kaufman as well as choreography by dance teacher Sarah Christman. All the
modern dance classes at Miller South will be featured in ensemble dance
numbers.
